3M™ Oral Care Introduces Next-Generation Clear Aligner System in Norway!

3M™ Clarity™ Aligners Flex + Force allow orthodontists to fully customize treatment designs.

3M Oral Care, in partnership with Unident, is introducing Clarity™ Aligners Flex + Force in Norway, starting in October 2022. The product empowers orthodontists to combine two unique aligner materials in one treatment design and gives patients a customized treatment experience. This next-generation aligner system is offered in a seamless workflow on the 3M Oral Care Portal and allows doctors to treat simple to complex cases and patients with mixed dentition.

Developed in partnership with orthodontists, the new 3M™ Clarity™ Aligners Flex material is a five-layer, proprietary material that harnesses 3M material science expertise and complements the time-tested 3M™ Clarity™ Aligners Force material.
Each layer of Clarity Aligners Flex was selected to deliver a synergistic effect greater than any single 3M material could. 3M scientists developed Clarity™ Aligners Flex to provide:

  • Excellent force persistence
  • Stain and scratch resistance
  • Easy insertion and removal
  • Good engagement with attachments
  • Outer layers resist staining and scratching
  • Inner layers provide flexibility and resilience
  • Thin, durable formed aligners
  • Nearly invisible, esthetic treatment


Seamless, two-material treatment designs are enabled by the 3M Oral Care Portal and its 5-step ordering process. The Oral Care Portal is a cloud-based software solution, providing convenient access to one platform to plan, monitor and refine aligner treatment and offer retention. Designed with and for orthodontists, Oral Care Portal is an open platform that allows users the flexibility to use the intraoral scanner of their choice. Oral Care Portal is easy to use and is HIPAA compliant.
